The last little while has brought me into contact with a bunch of excellent indie books, and it wasn't fair to hog them to myself. This sampling are self-published books that challenge the concept of vanity press by being better than a lot of corporate-backed releases.

They mostly speak for themselves, so I've just scanned in their front and back covers and asked the authors a few questions about the process.

Something I've added recently is a discussion area for one of the questions that I've asked these book-makers: why are most book publishers male? Once you've seen what they have to say, head on over here.
