Why aren't there any women self-publishing books?
I dunno, because there's a huge genre of women-specific zines. Maybe it's a male ego thing. But it's not entirely true, cause Amber Gail has been publishing books for a long time.

What inspired you to make a book?
I was trying to make a zine but it got too big. It just kinda happened.

What did you do to promote it?
Nothing. Went on tour [with punk band Submission Hold]. Usual means -- walking around with them. Will sell books for food.

What would you do differently, and why?
Put a straightup price on it. When we were on tour the sliding scale was cool, but stores had a really tough time with it.
