The Perpetual Motion Roadshow: An Indie Press Touring Circuit

The Perpetual Motion Roadshow is an indie press tour circuit with monthly stops in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Brooklyn, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Chicago.

On May 14th, three people will start the second round of the circuit in Toronto, doing seven shows in seven days. Roll over the cities to find out the details, and click to see the poster art. If your city's already been visited, check out June's schedule.

This month features Wide Collar Criminal cartoonist Matt "m@b" Blackett from Toronto, Dream Whip zinester and moviemaker Bill Brown from Chicago, and Kiss Machine operator Emily Pohl-Weary from Toronto. Move your mouse over their names for more info, and click to see their websites.

Each day they're on the road, one of them will call and leave a message about something that happened that day. The Pay Phone Tour Diaries will be posted below for your listening pleasure.

Next month, there'll be three new performers doing the circuit. Want to hear about it?

The Perpetual Motion Roadshow is a cultural propogator that doesn't need the fossil fuel of corporate power. No Media Kings set up and maintains the infrastructure, but to run smoothly it needs a steady supply of volunteers -- want to help out? Take a few moments to fill out a questionnaire for one of the following...

...Agents are needed to help promote and find local acts for the cities we're in (and not in, yet -- there are plans afoot to add loops on the west coast and elsewhere)...

...Crewmembers to take their art and performances on the road...

...and anyone who'd like to give their suggestions and feedback or just get in touch can drop an email to jim@nomediakings.org.
