The Perpetual Motion Roadshow: An Indie Press Touring Circuit

The Perpetual Motion Roadshow is an indie press tour circuit with monthly stops in Toronto, Montreal, Boston, Brooklyn, Cleveland, Cincinnati and Chicago. Seven shows in seven days.

On April 14th, despite border guard calamities and bronchial infections, the first round of the circuit began in Brooklyn. The "Wing That Mother" Tour, as it was dubbed, is over, but you can click here to see who's up next!

This month features genre-busting genderfuck Charlie-Girl Anders from Boston, crafty cartoonist Marc Ngui from Toronto, and anti-travel travel writer Corey Frost from NYC & Montreal. Move your mouse over their names for more info, and click to see their websites.
Each day they were on the road, one of them called and left a message:

April 14th, 10:35pm, Corey Frost from Brooklyn: "This may be my first and last tour diary..."
April 16th, 10:39am, Charlie-Girl Anders from Cleveland: "These guys with shaved heads came up to me and were like, 'Faggot, faggot'..."
April 16th, 11:22pm, Marc Ngui from Cincinnati: "Touring is hard work...there are bruises on my butt from all the driving..."
April 17th, 10:56pm, Corey Frost from Chicago: "Canada, we're coming your way..."
April 19th, 12:56pm, Mo Vet from Toronto: [Mo Vet, one of Marc Ngui's cartoon characters, called this one in.]
April 20th, 1:40am, Charlie-Girl Anders from Montreal: "It was kinda cool, we had a goth boy as our official tour mascot for a night..."
April 20th, 10:57pm, Charlie-Girl Anders from Boston: "Unfortunately, there were some hitches..."

Next month, there'll be three new performers doing the circuit. Want to hear about it?

The Perpetual Motion Roadshow is a cultural propogator that doesn't need the fossil fuel of corporate power. No Media Kings set up and maintains the infrastructure, but to run smoothly it needs a steady supply of volunteers -- want to help out? Take a few moments to fill out a questionnaire for one of the following...

...Agents are needed to help promote and find local acts for the cities we're in (and not in, yet -- there are plans afoot to add loops on the west coast and elsewhere)...

...Crewmembers to take their art and performances on the road...

...and anyone who's seen a show willing to give their suggestions and feedback.
