Novel Amusements is a joint effort between No Media Kings and the Tiny Movie Collective. The Tiny Movie Collective is Jim Munroe (project coordinator), Emily-Pohl Weary (east coast liason) and Meesoo Lee (west coast liason). Mark Connery drew the drawings for this site and Scott Waters was consulted about the site design. Thanks to a Canada Council grant funding the dissemination of new media works, the collective was able to distribute #2 for free. New Media Kings is a digitally remastered No Media Kings. (A subset, really, not so much the total transformation dramatized by Marc Ngui.) Both NMKs hope to give people practical information and impractical inspiration, with the intent of propogating exciting art and counteracting media consolidation. Both NMKs are headed by Jim Munroe, although he wears a tweed jacket while running one and dons a silver cybersuit while running the other. |
