I am DESPERATE to find Cook Like a Chef episodes. Digital Distractions was my only source- I don't own a TV and there have been no DVD releases of that show. Does anyone know where I can find them? Thanks!

Digital Distractions seems to have been shut down. The site has been unresponsive for a very long time (about a month), there are no updates on the RSS feed.

The site discussion forum had already been deactivated for months, but the index and tracker were still up and functional. No longer.

There's an IRC channel, but no one's there. A google search on the name finds this:

'+ntr] Kirin says site is gone :( no info on why atm
mehr'

But nothing definitive or authoritative.

In any case, the site is down, has been down for a long time, and there's no hard news.

[...] No Media Kings interviewed one man responsible for releasing a significant quantity of series TV shows onto Bit Torrent to find out why. It’s an interesting read: If you try to approach file-sharing the way I do, it is a library. A library exists to provide copyrighted materials to the general public without purchasing, pending return of the item. … While the nature of the Internet makes downloads an instant copy of the materials instead of a physical item to remove and replace, the same basic principles apply: I pay for my cable to capture the shows I want to keep from TV. I see the commercials, whether I’m watching it while capturing, or while editing it into an AVI file. I pay for the internet connection that sends it to people. [...]
