The "How To" Blogs are great. The nuts and bolts ones are very helpful (the silk screening and book binding ones are the best I've found on the web). The blogs are filled with this; not so much the weblinks and guest writers. I need hands on how-to at times. Please, post some things on technical movie stuff (especially sound).

As important, though, is the can-do attitude. I don't tear down the establishment, could never walk away from HarperCollins, and like and consume pop culture, but I have to keep reminding myself that it just one type of culture. Printing up those little folding books with a short story and handing them out is just as satisfying in many ways. I made a short animated movie and threw it up on YouTube just to DO SOMETHING. And now, you linked me to Celtx software, which is great. Along with the article on writing a screenplay in 10 days... I've written 36 pages in 36 hours (including sleeping and raising two young boys and writing this praise and thank you).

Keep it up.

Loved this post. I already blog, but zines and indie publishing seems like areas I want to explore.

The poster idea is totally interesting. I'm sure there's other odd ways like that. In Japan, one guy printed his short story on toilet paper rolls.
