I bought the 20' extension cable from Radio Shack, laid it on the desk for the audition and was happy. But in thinking about how to boom it for the other two shots, I went to the 99c store and bought a paint roller thinking I could fashion something out of that. When I got home and searched boom shotgun mic with paint roller, I found your fantastic solution and this great website. I worked on a film called The Corruptor and have 4 months of fond and freezing memories of Toronto! Thanks!
