<description>Great article and primer for those interested in getting started with self-publishing! Not sure if this helps or not, but I&#039;ve been doing a bunch of writing on marketing techniques for comic publishers and I thought it might be of interested.

Check it out: http://www.matnastos.net/comic-book-marketing/

Keep up the good work!!

<description>Thanks for the advices! I may have missed you at the TCAF... Your numbers and honesty are refreshing.

I got my 24-pages comic book (B&amp;W) from a copy center in my city (color cover, A-4 folded in two format, cost: 1.25 per comic). The guy there was great, I tok my own portable there and put the pages files together to build a digital prepress or layout (is it the good term?).

I produced only 100 this time, and sold a lot (price asked: 3.00$) at the TCAF along with my other comic books, most of them self-published. I was in a hurry.

The next time I will scan and mount the whole thing. I intend 24 pages books in 12 installements, but more in the usual comic format.

So thanks again for sharing your experience,

<description>[...] A Self-Publishing Comics Primer - &quot; One of the coolest thing about the comics world is that it doesn’t dismiss self-publishers the way the lit world does.
